Obituary of Jane V Bender

Jane V. Bender, of Morris Plains, NJ, passed away on October 2, 2015. Born in Montclair, NJ to the late William Warren and Julia Springstead, Jane was raised in Bloomfield, NJ. Jane, along with her husband, Howard, has resided in Morris Plains, NJ for the past 53 years. Jane was a graduate of Bloomfield High School, Montclair State University, and The Katherine Gibbs School. Jane was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains, Rainbow Girls, Girl Scouts, All State Choir, and All Seasons Garden Club. She also volunteered her time as a Sunday School Teacher, as well as at The Seeing Eye, and The Matheny School. Jane was employed as a private secretary to a bank executive for many years. She also worked as a Librarian for the Morristown School District. Jane is survived by her loving husband, Howard L. Bender; and her devoted children, Julieanne Ennis and her husband, Richard, and William Bender and his wife, Jeanne O’Brien. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Ennis and his wife Melissa, and Mike DeGrezia; and her adored great-granddaughter, Riley DeGrezia. In addition to her late parents, Jane was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Elizabeth Ennis DeGrezia. A Graveside Memorial Gathering & Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00am at Hilltop Cemetery, 18 Hilltop Road, Mendham, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Jane can be made to: The Elizabeth Ennis Safe Haven at The Lander Pet Connection, PO Box 854, Lander, WY 82520.
