It was an honor to have known Charles "Bud" Woods, even if only for a short time as neighbors. Bud was a kind and generous man, and I will always cherish the memories of our time living next to him. As a fellow veteran, I admired his service to our country, even if he proudly wore Navy blue while I served in the Army black. Bud lived a remarkable life that touched so many. From his service as a gunner's mate on the USS WASP during World War II to his legacy as a devoted family man, he embodied the values of love, patriotism, and community. Whether sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply greeting with a warm smile, Bud had a way of making everyone feel welcome. His sense of humor and laughter were infectious, and his dedication to his family, friends, and neighbors was unwavering. Bud’s home was a place of warmth, comfort, and care, a reflection of the man he was. He will be deeply missed in our neighborhood, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest easy, Bud. Thank you for your service and for the lasting impression you left on all of us. The Bennett Family

Grandpa loved his kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and pets so fiercely . We were so lucky to be blessed by his love. He will be missed so much.
