She was a long time member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed an occasional round of golf. Working as an Executive Secretary for 25 years at Equitable Life in Short Hills, she enjoyed her work and cherished the lifelong friends that she made there. Through the years, Muriel enjoyed sending birthday cards to friends and family, whether you were the youngest great grandchild or a cherished friend from grade school. Her kind gesture was paid back each February as her table was filled with birthday cards from her friends and family that meant so much to her.
