Obituary of Francis Scott

Francis (Frank) Scott of East Hanover, NJ passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

He was born in Morristown to Donald and Frances Scott on November 22, 1959, and grew up in Madison. He attended Kings Road School, Madison Junior High and Madison High School.

Frank was a hard worker at anything he did. He worked mostly in the restaurant industry over the years, and later on in life at Plaza Lanes in Madison, a place where he had worked as a teenager. Throughout his life he loved cooking, music, and woodworking. He played many instruments and loved to sing. He was a very generous person, especially providing food at get-togethers or when friends or neighbors were sick. 

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Donald Scott Sr. and Frances Scott Jellison. He is survived by his daughter Nicolle and her husband Rick, as well as three grandchildren, Ricky, Mary and Talia, all of Fairfax, VA. He is also survived by his very dear friend, Margie Kotulski, with whom he lived, and by his siblings, Don Scott Jr. of Deland, FL; Christine Scott Olivieri of Norwich, CT; Elaine Scott Tirella (Joe) of Forked River; Dale Scott Logarzo (Joe) of Andover; Gregory Scott (Marianne) of Kunkletown, PA; and Stephen Scott (Lana) of Barnegat. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Frank will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and especially by Margie, who had a special place in her heart for him.  

There will be a Memorial Visitation at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison, NJ on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00 pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.
