Obituary of Scott Sean Mulligan
Scott Sean Mulligan, 50, of East Hanover, NJ passed away on October 21, 2024 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Born in Summit, Scott resided in Memphis, TN before moving to East Hanover a little over 10 years ago.
Scott graduated from Union High School in 1992. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop#69 (St. Michael’s) in Union, NJ.
Scott then went on to earn his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1996; and his MBA from the University of Memphis in 2009.
Scott worked at Dupont in Memphis, TN for 14 years, and at Givaudan in East Hanover, NJ for five years, before working as a Site Director for Corbion in Totowa for the past six years. He was well-loved and will be deeply missed by all of his co-workers.
Scott was also a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, East Hanover and the Knights of Columbus.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Yang Mulligan; and his dear children, Scott Matthew Mulligan, Sean Patrick Mulligan, and Leah Kathleen Mulligan. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Kathleen Mulligan, of Union, NJ; his devoted siblings, Joseph Mulligan, and his wife, Kelly, of King of Prussia, PA, and Christine Bevensee, and her husband, Rich, of Union, NJ; as well as his adored nieces and nephews, Joe Mulligan, Catherine Bevensee, William Bevensee, Ryan Bevensee, and Caroline Bevensee. Scott was predeceased by his father, Joseph E. Mulligan, and his brother Paul Mulligan.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4-8pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison, NJ. (A steady flow throughout the Funeral Home will ensure all guests will be able to share their condolences with the family.) A Funeral Mass for Scott will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Scott may be made to: University of Notre Dame (giveto.nd.edu), or Florham Park Football Club (55 Cathedral Avenue, Florham Park, NJ 07932.) Scott was a steadfast supporter of his children's sports and was always involved with their activities.
