Obituary of Mildred Papini

Mildred Papini, 90, of Florham Park, NJ, passed away on March 10, 2024, at Morristown Medical Center.

Born in Yonkers, NY to Salvatore and Eleanor Scarpulla, Mildred resided in Howell, NJ for 68 years before moving to Florham Park 1 ½ years ago to be closer to her daughter.

Mildred graduated with honors from Commerce High in Yonkers in 1952.  She worked in Hospital Administration for Kimball Medical Center for 32 years, until she retired in 1998.

Mildred was a beloved member of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Jackson, NJ for over 60 years, and most recently a beloved member of the Morristown congregation.

Mildred is survived by her loving husband, Frank Papini of 69 years; and her devoted daughter, JoAnn Zymler, and her husband, Phil Zymler, of Morristown, NJ.  Mildred was predeceased by her siblings: Jenny Pazienzo of Hawthorne, NY; Florence Porcello of Howell, NJ; Sam Scarpulla of Toms River, NJ; Helen Gill of Yonkers, NY; and Ida Marcio of Yonkers, NY.

 “Aunt Millie” had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly: Donald, Elaine, Charlene, Bruce, Bobby, Lynora, Denise, Victoria, Sandra, Arleen, Adele, Brian, Billy, Richard, Debbie, Jeffrey, Charlie, Kim, Tracy, Todd, Eddie, Virginia, Jennifer, Andy, Michelle, and Joseph.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 5-7:30 PM at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ.  Mildred will be laid to rest at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
