Obituary of Ruth G. Palace

Ruth G. Palace left us on February 19, 2023 in Texas. 

Ruth was a force of nature and many of her friends have strong memories of her powerful personality, her vivaciousness, and her smarts.

She earned her B.A. degree from Syracuse Univerity and her M.A. degree from Yale. 

Ruth was also a member of Temple B'Nai Or, Morristown. 

She was a Botanist/lLandscape Designer and gave frequent talks at garden clubs and associations in New Jersey. She loved cultivating beauty with plants so much that she forced her husband, Dr. Fred Palace, to move to a new home because "the gardens here are finished, there's nothing more to do." 

Unfortunately, the combination of a TBI in 2005 and then Alzheimer's was a cruel cocktail, which ultimately took her life. 

A Funeral Service for Ruth will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:00am at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Cedar Knolls.
