Barbara L. Errickson, 89, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 at home.

Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond Errickson. She leaves behind her beloved family: her daughter, Loren Walsh and her husband, Gary; her daughter, Susan Wood; her son, David Errickson and his wife, Meg; her brother, David Loth and his wife Madeline; her sister, Marjorie Mellor and her husband Clifford; grandchildren: Katharine Walsh, Kevin Walsh, and his wife Jacquelyn; Erricka Reardon and her partner, Lawrence Gilmore; Daniel Reardon, Nathan Wood; and Rebecca Errickson and Luke Errickson; her great-grandchildren: Connor and Evelyn Walsh; Galleon Gilmore; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored. Barbara was loved dearly by her family and will be missed tremendously.

Barbara was born in Newark, NJ, raised in Morris Plains and later in Morristown. She attended Morristown High School. Barbara and Ray were married in 1955 at the Presbyterian Church in Morristown (where mom attended for approximately 80 years). They moved to Morris Plains in 1961, where they raised their family. She graduated from St. Elizabeth University in 1978 with a degree in Education. She taught Special Education at Morristown High School for 17 years. Teaching was her passion and her students enriched her life. The friends she made while teaching stayed close for the remainder of her life and they continued celebrating birthdays together. Barbara was an active member at the Presbyterian Church in Morristown serving as Elder and Deacon, was a member of Circle 12, participated in a small Bible study group, United Presbyterian Women (now PW), sang in the Chancel Choir for most of her adult life, and was the Director of the Nursery School for several years. She was a member of P.E.O, Chapter H and the Morris Plains All Seasons Garden Club and served as the President of both organizations for several terms. She and Dad were very active in Families Anonymous and made many dear friends which remained close to her up until her passing.
