Obituary of James W. Greeley

James W. Greeley, 72, formerly of Morris Plains, more recently of Sussex, passed away on January 13, 2020. Born in Newark, James resided in Morris Plains before moving to Sussex five years ago. Upon graduation from high school, James proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the U.S.S. Hawkins from 1965-1968. James was awarded the National Defense Service Medal of Honor. Throughout his life, James worked as a Chauffer, Maintenance Man, and Caretaker. James is survived by his sister, Susan Stephens, of Morris Plains; and his daughter, Lisa Rotsides, of Willingboro, NJ. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 2:00pm-4:30pm, with a Memorial Service at 4:30pm, at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment of ashes will be private.
