Obituary of Louis J. Beneduce

Louis J. Beneduce, 91 passed away on January 9, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home in Morris Plains, NJ. He was born in Madison, NJ, and lived in Morris Plains and Sea Girt, NJ, for the past 62 years.

Louis graduated from Madison High School in 1944. He was the proprietor of Lou’s Sunoco and Gas N’ Go Service Stations, Morris Township, NJ, for the 40 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains, the Knights of Columbus, the VFW and the American Legion. He proudly served his country during WWII as a Marine Corporal. He was an avid golfer, antique enthusiast and collector/restorer of classic antique cars.

He will be remembered as a loving and a devoted father to his three precious children, Melissa Beneduce Marcantonio and her husband David of Morris Plains, Cheryl Beneduce Bock and her husband Frank of Califon, Perry Beneduce of Sea Girt and two grandchildren Bryce and Ava Rose Marcantonio in whom he took great pride and joy. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Readie, South Plainfield, NJ. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Florence Agacinski Beneduce in 2010.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, January 15, 2018, from 4-7 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plains, NJ.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 10:00 am at St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains, NJ. The entombment will take place at Holy Rood Mausoleum.

The family requests that donations may be made in memory of Louis Beneduce to the Delbarton School, Development Office, 230 Mendham Road, Morristown, NJ  07960.
